WHAT DOES THE INTERIOR DESIGN PROCESS ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE?

Every project begins with an in-depth questionnaire and consultation so I can understand your lifestyle, your goals, and how you want your home to feel. From there, I create a tailored proposal, develop concepts and design plans, and guide everything through sourcing, ordering, design implementation, and installation, so you're never left wondering what comes next.

HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL PROJECT TAKE FROM START TO FINISH?

Timelines vary depending on the scope of the project. Most furnishings only projects can be accomplished within a 4-6 months. We can often work within your timeline, or will advise on how long we expect based on past experience. Custom furnishings, renovations, and new builds can extend that timeline, but I'll always keep you informed of realistic expectations from the start.

WHAT DOES AN INTERIOR DESIGNER ACTUALLY DO?

An interior designer does much more than pick out paint colors and pretty furniture. I take your lifestyle, your goals, and the way you actually live in your home, and translate that into a space that's both beautiful and deeply functional. That means developing the overall design concept, creating layouts, drawings, and renderings, sourcing furniture and materials, managing budgets and timelines, coordinating with contractors and trades when needed, and overseeing ordering, deliveries, and installation from start to finish. In short, I handle the details so your home comes together exactly as envisioned, without you having to manage a single moving piece.

DO I NEED TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I WANT BEFORE WE START?

Not at all. Many clients come to me with a feeling more than a finished vision — and that's exactly where I come in. My job is to translate your lifestyle and inspiration into a cohesive design, even if you're starting with nothing more than a Pinterest board.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I EXPECT TO INVEST FOR INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICES?

We custom quote every project per design details and scope of work. After inquiry, consultation, and a questionnaire, we will send a proposal with a clear breakdown of fees for our services. 

HOW DO YOU CHARGE?

We charge a flat fee for design concept and design implementation services with a procurement management percentage fee for purchasing services. Details of billing are always up front and clear, so you can relax and enjoy the process.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVE?

We are located in the panhandle in Florida, so many of our projects are in Panama City, Panama City Beach, Inlet Beach, 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, Watercolor, Destin, Ft. Walton Beach, Okaloosa Island, and the surrounding areas. We also welcome inquiries from clients beyond this area, offer virtual services, and we love to travel! DO YOU WORK ON SECOND HOMES AND RENTALS?

Yes! We design vacation homes, primary residences, and rentals. We also partner with investors to create spec homes that sell!

I AM AN INVESTOR. DO I NEED TO BE INVOLVED IN THE PROJECT OR LOCAL TO WORK WITH YOU?

You can be as involved as you desire, but often investors prefer to hand us the reigns so you can release that stress and focus on other areas of your business. You do NOT have to be local. We send out weekly updates on your project, take vigorous notes and photos, and create an organized presentation book with specifications and a clear understanding of the design. We use our knowledge of the area, current trends and styles, and your goal sale/rental price to craft a design that speaks to your audience and draws them in. 

DO YOU WORK WITH MY EXISTING FURNITURE AND DECOR, OR START FROM SCRATCH?

Both! I am happy to incorporate pieces that hold meaning to you alongside new furnishings that elevate the space. Whether we're starting fresh or blending old and new, every choice is made with intention.

WHAT STYLE DO YOU SPECIALIZE IN?

I specialize in your style! While I may guide and nudge you to try something new occasionally, my goal is to create a home that feels authentically you. That means we dive deep into your style and wish list to make sure the end result is something you truly love. 

I AM BUILDING OR RENOVATING. WHEN SHOULD I HIRE AN INTERIOR DESIGNER?

The earlier the better! A designer's eye will greatly differ from a contractor, builder, or architect, so the earlier in the process we can be a part the more we can reduce changes later, nail down a realistic investment, and keep your timeline on track. It takes a team to make a build happen, and gathering that dream team from the beginning will drastically increase the odds of a seamless process and a successful result.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS CAREER?

I was the kid that always tested in the "you don't fit into a certain lane" section of the career tests because I had so many interests. When I discovered the world of design before college I felt like something finally clicked. Design is the best combination of the creative and logical sides of my brain. I value organization, structure, and evidence based thinking while also enjoying art, travel, and creative freedom, and interior architecture and design is the best of both worlds. 

The field of interior design is also deeply personal and driven by care for others. I truly believe in the impact your environment has on your mental and physical health, your success, and your peace. I love that I get to make a positive impact on my clients' lives and make relationships that matter.

WHAT MAKES THE ETHEREAL HOME INTERIORS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER DESIGN FIRMS?

Our firm is different for 3 main reasons.

  1. You are the muse and the center of the design. I craft a custom creation specifically for what you need and want.

  2. We have a clear process and organized structure. You feel led, not left behind. Your contractors and installers have clear direction including in-house drawings and renderings, a presentation book with specs and vital info, and consistent communication so we are all on the same page. 

  3. We protect your peace. We understand that moving, renovating, and building can be stressful and tedious. My process is built on resourcefulness, authentic expression, and reliability, so you get a beautiful home and a stress-free experience.

HOW DO I KNOW IF WE ARE THE RIGHT FIT TO WORK TOGETHER?

The best way to know is to start the conversation. Our first consultation is as much about connection as it is about design. If you feel heard, excited, and at ease, that's usually a great sign we're meant to work together.
